Paul Klee Castles

Today we made Paul Klee castle art. We made them because the CRT team was in our class. We started them 2 weeks ago but I finished mine today. The book that the art is from is called The cat and the bird. We used pastels to color it in but you can also cut up paper and stick the paper on the artwork.

Fingerprint Inquiry

When i started I thought that all of my fingerprints would be the same but when i did it I noticed That all of them are different. I noticed that a lot of mine are the same as Cayden's and that the lines show up better when you put ink on them and stamp them on paper.

Sensing Food

In our inquiry we have been investigating a lot about science and germs. To sense food we had to taste it and smell. after that we write on paper and post it.

my favorite food was easily the granny smith apples because they are nice and sweet and juicy. my second was the fennel because the taste is almost like  mint and i like mint.

i learned different tastes and textures and that citrus makes food sour. 

does anyone else find celery gross.

How Canterbury was formed

The Canterbury pains are formed from gravel sand and clay. The shape of Canterbury has changed because of time and because of earthquakes that have happened over time. The gravel came from several of the larger rivers known as the Waimakariri Selwyn Rakaia and the Rangitata. Banks Peninsula was formed by volcanoes erupting but they are now extinct. The south island is basically built on a fault line that must have gone off and made New Zealand. The South Island could change soon because the alpine fault could go off any time soon.

Movie Making

The blob

Elizabeth gave us the challenge of making a iStopmotion
animation called ‘The Blob.’  She wanted us to practice animating and then
talk in a group about what was good or what we needed to work on.  We gave
each other feedback.

I was working with Matt and Leo. we made a snail Istopmotion because we would be able to make lots of snails. Our story was about snails that are living near a cottage but new Animals come so they need to fight them off to make them go.

Everyone seemed to like our movie because we got two people that said that we don't need to change anything at all.

                                 Rise value movie

our rise values were resilience and success. Our story was about people who are always sitting at a skate park, but one day people come along and they have skateboards so the main characters go on the skateboard and do a trick but they break there leg but six months later they come back and succeed.  

It was difficult when we couldn't find the Ipad and when some things would break or be missing. it was also difficult when Matt was not at school because we were one man down.


I learned that making a movie is a very hard process and that i'm not as good as i think i am at making clay people.

Lots of people thought our movie was funny but not many people had watched so we haven't got much feedback yet.

The Monster under my bed

The Monster under my bed

My monster has a disease called talking disease. That means
he can’t stop talking so i try to kill him when he doesn’t stop
talking

He has a very circular face and a tiny little nose. His eyes are
blue and he is always wearing a cap. His teeth are yellow and
rotten and his breath reeks of coffee,chocolate and jelly beans.

He is very unhealthy and skinny. He is very white because he
never eats fruit and never goes outside. I even think he was
born under my bed. He has never even changed his clothes he
is always wearing his stolen gucci shirt.

His legs are skinny and boney like twigs. He doesn’t like
showing his legs so he wears track pants all the time. He wears
stolen gucci shoes that he bought off  one of his friends that
stole them from a celebrity from los angeles. His friend goes
round stealing things from rich people so he gets really rich.

I really want to kill hims so when he scratches and whispers at
me i put him under a box with a spider because he has a big
fear of spiders so i can have some rest.
