Giraffes only sleep for about 5 minutes at a time so they can
avoid their predators. Being very big Animals it makes it hard for
them to get to sleep. It is very cute when they do go to sleep

Apparently baby Giraffes are the ones that lay down and the
adult Giraffes are on watch for predators so the baby ones are
safe when they are asleep. They would need to trust their
parents.

Giraffes only spend 4 years of their life asleep compared to
⅓ of our life asleep. Giraffes sometimes go for days without
sleep but with our brain we need much more sleep than
animals do

ReplyDeleteBecause we were studying sleep and we needed to write about animals and then pick the one we like the most and i picked giraffes because they are most interesting.
DeleteThat was very interesting I didn't know that giraffes only sleep for four years in there hole life.Do baby giraffes sleep on other giraffes? if they do send me the answer.

some times they do but not if they are lost or their parents are not alive
