Maths (Wednesday)
Today we learned ho to find out the area of a triangle. You have to measure the number of meters form top to bottom then multiply it by half of the meters of the base. The teacher also put a 16 by 16 square around it and we had to find the area of the square. we had to minus the area of the triangle from the area of the square. It was 226sqm We had to figure the cost if it is $16 per square meter of pebbles. I got $3616. Then we had to figure out the labour cost. It is $35.70 and hour and it will take 6.5 hours to complete. The labour cost is 232.05, then we add them together and get $3848.05. After that we subtracted 5% and get $3656.75 as the total cost.

Hi Callum I kind of liked that math class very good writing
ReplyDeleteGreat Callum, I'll give you the worksheet to add as an image to your blog, 'a picture paints a thousand words' so to speak. I like your explanation and the sequence you did it in. Perhaps a picture of your working out would make the audience appreciate how much computation is actually involved in this problem. Keep sharing your learning.
